Episode 18: Nicholas Braman

Talking Culture, Childcare, Work Balance

For this episode of the Dad Dialogue podcast, host Laurence is joined by Nicholas Braman. Nicholas is based in Singapore and he has a 2 year old daughter.

In the episode we discuss the various culture within Nicholas’ family as he himself is ethnically Korean but raised in the US after being adopted as a child. Nicholas’ wife is from China where the couple lived for some time also, so when it comes to creating their own family culture there is a lot of different voices.

We discuss the role of domestic helpers and what it looks like to involve one in the raising of a child as well as the decisions we make when enrolling our children in daycare or preschool programs.

Nicholas hosts Before We Get There a podcast where he talks to entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, creatives, athletes, and more about their journeys. Dig into interesting people's stories and find out how they got to where they are, what keeps them pushing forward, and where they eventually want to get to.
